There is an awful lot of stock footage out there.
Despite that, ours has done pretty well for the past sixteen years and can be seen in countless films, television programs, ads, games and music videos. We attribute our
success to using two simple questions to guide our development efforts: what do producers really need and what do producers really want?
We put much thought into designing high-production-value clips which are unique, realistic and flexible. And our clips are generously long,
with ample frames for creative retiming.

NEW Bombardier
Use our foreground action plates to easily bombard your on-camera talent with a variety of projectiles, from sports and household objects to food - without mess or injury.
Each 30-second clip includes three 10-second bursts of objects directed at, and bouncing off, an invisible target - from the left side of the frame, then the right side and then both, simultaneously. Includes embedded alpha channel.

Bombardier details and clip list
As of 2020-08-21, this collection had 7 clips.
Our object-specific 4K overlay plates are inspired by PBS' Odd Squad and the rubber chicken toss on METV's Svengoolie.
Each 30-second clip includes three 10-second bursts of objects directed at an invisible target - from the left side of the frame, then the right side and then both, simultaneously.
Built in C4D, our 35 mm camera is set 6' (183 cm) off the ground and tilted downward 11 degrees. The 183 cm target humanoid/impact plane is 3 metres away.
The emitter is aimed so that objects impact the target humanoid between the chin and the waist. Projectile objects are the correct relative size for that scene setup.
As long as your on-camera subject stays close to the horizontal center of the frame, the effect is quite convincing - even with a tracked, moving target.

Foreground Foliage Framing Plates
Easily add depth and production value to locked off shots by framing them with animated foreground foliage. Simply position, rotate and
scale our plates, then adust focus, saturation and brightness, as needed.
Our growing collection includes both CGI-based (which loop) and live-action plates, with either in-file transparency masks or embedded alpha channels. Lengths vary.

Foreground Foliage Plates Set production notes and clip list
As of 2021-01-01, this collection had 71 clips.
Our live-action plates are 30-seconds long, 1080P, 30fps, do not loop and feature the wide variety of tree species
found within interior British Columbia's 6a-7a plant hardiness zone. We will continue to shoot the same trees throughout the year so we can offer
seasonal foliage versions of as many species as possible.
The clips are easy to use: drop them over your footage. Position, scale and rotate. Add some blur to enhance the foreground/depth of field effect.
Depending on the lighting in your footage, you may also wish to desaturate and darken our plates.
Note: these 1080P HD clips work very well scaled up 200% for 4K work, with only a slight (and desirable) blurring of the foliage occurring as a result.

Winds of Change
Climate change is a hot topic. And nothing beats animation to concisely and powerfully convey otherwise abstract concepts.
We've used the best NASA imagery available, provided a few seconds of lead/tail padding where useful, and paid close attention to timing to give you flexible materials that will help you tell your story with more drama on-screen - and less in the edit suite.

Arctic Circles Producer's Kit
The icecaps are thawing, and we're here to help you explain why that matters with a modular set of looping,
matched circular tracking shots which focus on the North and South poles from four angles/orbits, as seen in June and December.
Extra-slow, extra-long, 2-minute full-circle loops provide ample room for retiming or narration. Matching plates provide many creative options. 2K, 4K gradually coming online.

Arctic Circles Producer's Kit component list
Data: USGS/NASA Landsat
Arctic Circles is built around four, two-minute, seamlessly-looping circular tracking shots of each pole.
Each shot is taken from a different camera angle: high, medium,-high, medium-low and low.
Arctic circle shots include two versions: June and December.
Other then the appearance of sea ice, there is virtually no visible change on the continental landmass within the Antarctic Circle between summer and winter.
Each two-minute, full-circle/seamless loop is split into two one-minute cl ips, by hemisphere, as listed below:
North Pole tracking shots
1a. High-angle, June, West hemisphere

Planetary Survey 2
Keep calm. Buckle up. Hold on.
This set includes stylized and non-stylized flybys, approaches and orbital footage for all the planets (and dwarf planets) we know and love, as well as many of their moons.
We built them in 4K where possible - and 2K where high-rez data was limited. Clips range in length from 16 to 40 seconds, are reversible and can be rotated 180°.
Some include multiple versions.

Planetary Survey Set 2 clip list
Data: JPL/NASA
Planet and moon flybys (:20)
These retimed, "Matrix-style" flybys are dramatic and reversible. The camera hurtles toward the planet for five seconds, suddenly cuts to slow motion
for a ten-second, close-range pass along the equator, and then returns to full speed as it races on into space. DCI 4K unless otherwise indicated.
Kepler 452b ("Earth 2.0")
Wolf 1061D exoplanet
Fictional, possibly habitable, icy planet
Fictional, possibly habitable, desolate planet
"Earthrise" from Earth's moon/90° camera (3 versions)
Orbital entry shots (:20)
Camera moves around to lit side and eases into a slow equatorial orbit. Reverse the clip for an orbital departure.
Departure shots (:15)
Tilted camera smoothly moves away from planet's dark side into the emptiness of space. Slightly moody shot. Reverse the clip for an approach.
Straight-line dolly away from planet (:30)
Camera smoothly retreats from somewhat distant planet, which is seen in lower right of frame. Visually accurate: star field shifts but does not recede.
Pan back to sun / planet pass (:30)
Camera slowly travels past planet, revealing its dark side, while panning back to show distant sun. Visually accurate: star field shifts but does not recede.

Planetary Dawn (:16)
A brilliant sun bursts into view over the horizon to illuminate a crescent of the surface, as the camera orbits around toward lit side.
There are three versions of this shot: level/centered, camera at 90° and camera at Dutch angle. Reverse the clip for a planetary dusk shot.
Planetary Dawn Sublime (:16)
A slightly off-camera sun slowly illuminates a crescent of the surface, as the camera orbits around toward lit side.
There are three versions of this shot: level/centered, camera at 90° and camera at Dutch angle. Reverse the clip for a planetary dusk shot.
Asteroid pass, in orbit (:30)
Camera in medium, slow orbit. Gently tumbling asteroid enters frame and travels away from camera and past planet. Separate versions with and without lens artifacts and nebulae.
Asteroid pass, deep space (:29)
Camera tracks a gently tumbling, dust-trailing asteroid as it flies past, and continues panning to reveal a distant planet.
Orbital Sweep (:30)
Tilted camera maintains focus on planetary moon as a slightly defocused host planet sweeps across field of view in the background.
Two versions in clip: fast (:10) and slow (:20). Clip is reversible.

Data: USGS/NASA Landsat
These long, lazy orbital flyovers pass over the locations listed below, covering 10 degrees of Earth's circumference.
Clips are available in two versions: a completely cloudless and unobscured view of the planet's surface
in all directions, and the same shot with some cloud cover that lies only on the edges of the shot's focal point.
This collection will continue to grow and we are happy to provide a custom render of whatever geographic region meets your needs.
