As seen in The Martian, MeTV's SciFi Saturday Night, MHz Worldview and more, overlaying a scan line or screen effect is a currently popular way to stylize footage. Properly prepared vector files (if you can find them) and After Effects' Render Grid filter (if you're working in AE)
offer some solutions - but controlling anti-aliasing can become an issue. We made it foolproof and fast!
Simply drag and drop these presized files onto the top layer of compositions in After Effects, Final Cut Pro, Premiere, Vegas or any other video/image
editing/compositing application. Set the blending mode to Overlay and adjust transparency to taste. Done!
These overlays can be flipped on either axis and stacked in various combinations to create some deliciously unusual textures.

Each scanline type comes in several densities and every overlay is provided in both black and white versions.
