Precision 4K vector objects prepared for After Effects

Finally. The vector art you've been searching for.

Our products work in any application that can import vector art. But because we are focused on providing resources for moving image professionals, our vector objects are prepared for immediate use in Adobe After Effects.

Each file is properly configured: element names appear on the first layer of multi-layer files, and files are saved off as single-artboard RGB version 10 .AIs. All layers are top-level, so the files may be imported either as flattened footage or as time-saving pre-layered comps. Elements do not extend beyond the artboard.

Multiple stroke widths & solids: where appropriate, and to save you more time, we've provided elements in multiple versions - from outlines with various stroke widths to unstroked solids.

Logical object grouping: wherever applicable, we have combined groups of related curves in a way that enables users to easily tweak their stroke widths after converting to AE shape layers.

Expertly crafted: objects designed to rotate are perfectly symmetrical on one or both axes, and bounding box center points and angular geometry (such as gear spokes) are precisely set.
No wibbly wobbles. Perfect looping.

Audio waveforms and waveform-based bar graphs

A FUI without audio waveforms (aka sound waves, audio waves) is like a breakfast without orange juice - not quite as delicious as it could be. We got busy and cooked up a set of useful and flexible precision vector objects for busy creatives just like you.

All sixteen objects are provided as native Adobe Illustrator files and as background-transparent PNGs in a 3.08 MB zip file.

The Illustrator files have been properly prepared for use in After Effects, but are perfectly suitable for use in any other application that can import vector art - from InDesign to Photoshop. The companion PNGs are, of course, less flexible as far as sizing, but can be used almost anywhere.

The single AI artboards are 4000 x 600 pixels. The companion PNGs are 1800 x 300 pixels. Each audio waveform and bar graph is configured for seamless, horizontal tiling - and many can be seamlessly chained together to create longer constructs.

Mathematical/physical formulae diagrams

Matthew Watkins' Mathematical & Physical Formulae is our go-to reference for all the useful stuff we forgot immediately after high school. With the approval of the publisher, Wooden Books, we created precision vector versions of 50 of the diagrams in the book. As with all our vector objects, these are prepped for 4K video and compositing but are just as useful in any other tool - from Photoshop to InDesign.

EKG waveforms

We're very fond of waveforms and, while researching EKGs, we stumbled across a trove of wonderful subshapes - elegant forms which were mathematically extracted from what would be considered a "standard" EKG plot.

These can be revealed with track mattes, wipe effects or particle systems, used as motion paths and even extruded to create unique planar topographies. And the heads and tails of all of these waveforms have been prepared for horizontal tiling/stacking.

EMD waveforms (01-07): just as the waveforms for each instrument in an orchestral passage look largely different than the overall waveform, plots derived from an ekg through a process called "Empirical Mode Decomposition" represent components of the whole. And they look great.

Symptomatic waveforms: ventricular tachycardia (08), irregular heartbeat (09) and regular heartbeat (10).

Each of the ten waveforms is provided in three separate stroke widths for a total of 30, 4K-ready RGB .ai files.
